About Us

At Goodwood Ship Management, we recognize the value of deploying seafarers who are well-trained and certified in accordance with STCW 2010 and the ISM Code. Our primary concern is to deliver safe, efficient, high quality, ethical and cost effective ship management solutions that satisfy our customers. Our crew recruitment and training ventures, in India and the Philippines, proactively develop our very own Quality Seafarers to meet our concern.

Our industry standard stringent selection and training process policy ensures that we have access to an unceasing supply of knowledgeable and well-trained seafarers for deployment onboard our managed vessels. Currently, we have ready access to a pool of Indian, Italian, Norwegian, Spanish and Filipino officers & ratings in the system.

Through a fully computerized crew management operations, we ensure that all vessels in the fleet have officers & crew onboard with the required skills, training and certification for the vessel type. In addition to Seagull Computer Based Training available onboard our managed fleet, we have developed a series of training courses and made them a mandatory part of our crew training programme.

Crew training is conducted at Goodwood Marine Services Pvt Ltd, our wholly owned subsidiary manning office in Mumbai, Trans Global Maritime Inc, Manila and at other external training facilities. To provide our seafarers with excellent in-house training and development, we have invested in our own Full Mission Bridge Simulator in Mumbai which has different realistic scenarios covering 11 exercise areas and seven ship models to train Navigating officers in the various aspects of navigation. For Navigating Officers’ type specific ECDIS training we have installed a Transas NAVI SAILORS 4000 ECDIS and JRC ECDIS. In the near future a FURUNO ECDIS will be added. Further, our officers attend Company shore based seminars and all crew training and personal development of our seafarers is supervised by our Personnel & Operations department.

Our manning offices are audited regularly and operate under the direct supervision of Goodwood Personnel Department.
