Formed in 2004 as a Joint Venture shipping company, Gulf Energy Maritime is managing modern state-of-the-art double hull tankers designed to carry petroleum products, chemicals and other hydrocarbons.
Today, GEM is a leading, independent Product/Chemical Tanker company. GEM’s growth perspective is a long term strategic one and accordingly majority of its vessels are expected to be fixed in a mixed portfolio of long-term and spot charters.
GEM currently has a fleet of 14 Trading ships, which comprises of five modern LR1 and nine chemical/ product tankers.
GEM has been awarded with ISO 9001-2015 Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 14001-2015 Environment Management System (EMS) Certification. Furthermore, the Company has also completed the online submission of its Tanker Management Self Assessment (TMSA) form as required by the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) — a best practice guide for ship operators.
