How MMS came to existence

MMS Co. Ltd Tokyo:  Ship Management

As a ship management company of the Meiji Shipping Co., Ltd. group, its mission is to “provide the worldwide standard service with maximum safety consideration and environmental consideration.” We have bases in Tokyo, Singapore, Manila, and India, providing services such as ship management, crew manning, supervision of new shipbuilding construction, etc., and received high praise from customers both in Japan and overseas. This high evaluation is based on abundant experience and knowledge accumulated through history since the establishment in 1974. In addition to having management records corresponding to a wide variety of ship types such as tankers (LNG, VLCC, Aframax, LR, MR and VLGC), Bulker (Cape to Handy), PCTC and WCC etc.. in addition, crew members from the shore staff including officials/maritime/technical supervisors and from officers to members have pride that ship management is an essential task for international maritime transport, and solidarity with day and night with the aim of generating the self feeling as, “I am proud of the result that I achieve in my day to day work ”.
The company started as International Marine Consultant Co., Ltd., established in July 1974, and has grown based on ship management and new construction supervision for foreign ship owners. In November 1985, the company name was changed to MMS Co., Ltd., and at the same time the organization was strengthened, with the Singapore branch being opened (2009) followed by the New Delhi branch (2016) to meet diverse needs.
