About Us

MOL Chemical Tankers was founded in 1972, and has been a member of the Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Group since 1996. Over its nearly 50-year history, the company has grown as a specialist in the marine transportation of liquid chemicals and vegetable oils. In 2012, the head office was moved to Singapore, the country that  has achieved remarkable growth as a hub port for marine transportation. Since then, we have continuously worked, striving to strengthen our operations and sales organization in order to provide better transportation services to our customers.

Over the last few years, our company have been taking important steps to ensure its continued growth. First, the acquisition of Nordic Tankers, a Danish chemical tanker operator, in January 2019 significantly strengthened our service network in the Atlantic Ocean. As of May 2020, the full-integration of their operations into MOL Chemical Tankers Group has been completed and we are now truly One Team under the One Brand.

In February 2019, we formed a capital alliance with Den Hartogh, a leading Dutch tank container company, and are also developing a tank terminal in Antwerp Port together with a local company, Sea-tank. Our goal is to become a comprehensive chemical logistics provider able to respond to the diverse needs of our customers. To this end, we will expand our marine transportation services using stainless steel chemical tankers, as well as develop our terminal business in small land-based shipments and major hub ports.
