Masao Sugihara founded Sugihara Shipbuilding Iron Works at his current location. 1907 Repaired and restored the dry dock of the open culvert and started repairing the ship. Renamed as Sugihara Shipbuilding Iron Works Co., Ltd. as a corporation.
