ARKON Shipping is committed to technical innovations to improve shipping, protect the seas and the climate through the use of safe and environment-friendly vessels.

We campaign in politics and in associations for better conditions in the European Short Sea Trade, without cumbersome and time-consuming customs procedures for port calls. Our aim is a fair competition.

The follow-up costs of transport for the environment, infrastructure and health of citizens must be fairly distributed to the modes of transport.

We support digitalisation in the Short Sea Trade in order to integrate the transport more securely, reliably and competitively into the European logistics chains, for less freight transport by road and more environmental protection.

But the focus of this framework always lies on the human.

We manage our company according to socio-economic aspects.

Our employees are well educated and trained. Further we create closeness, confidence and motivation by team building events for our staff and their families. We are working as a successful team for over 20 years.

For us it is of great importance to provide our employees with a modern, ergonomic and sustainable workplace. For this purpose, regular investments are made such as the installation of a block-type thermal power station for the production of electrical energy and heat as well as the use of automatically moving solar collectors or the conversion to company cars with hybrid drive technology.
