About Us

Elburg started its full operations in April 2005. It had only 18 vessels under its management and was able to deploy 181 seafarers.

In 2006, there was a significant growth rate of 275% on operations with 41 vessels under management and 499 seafarers deployed. These numbers only continued to increase as years went by.

Crewtech Shipmanagement Phils., Inc. was born with 4 vessels and 16 seafarers deployed. Elburg had 99 vessels and 1,108 seafarers deployed.

For its valuable contribution in the Philippine seafaring industry, Elburg was chosen as one of the candidates for the Top Performing Recruitment Agencies in the Philippines by POEA in 2009, with 115 vessels and 1,395 seafarers deployed.

The conceptualization of Elburg Foundation which focused on the study and treatment of Leukemia for Filipino patients was in 2010. By then, Elburg has grown with 165 vessels and 1,728 deployed seafarers.

When Typhoon Sendong hit Cagayan de Oro in 2011, Elburg reached out to the victims of the flood by sending relief goods. The company had 195 vessels with Elburg with 2,141 seafarers deployed; 41 vessels with Crewtech with 787 seafarers deployed.

In 2013, the company was nominated for the Shipping Company of the Year Award by the International Seafarer’s Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN).

In 2014, Elburg made its way to rank 17 among the Top Performing Recruitment Agencies in the Philippines by POEA having deployed a total of 2,348 Filipino seafarers during the period.

On Elburg’s 10th year, it was able to deploy a total of 3,289 Filipino seafarers and managed 204 vessels.

At the start of 2016, Elburg welcomed newly acquired vessels with its first venture with cruise ships from Mediterranean Shipping Company to handle the Spa Department under Ocean View Monaco. It has also developed its joint venture with Seaquest Shipmanagement.

Before the end of 2017, Elburg has acquired another two bulk carrier vessels from A.M. Nomikos. On the first sail of Tassos N and Astra N with Elburg, a full Filipino crew was able to be deployed after it signed a manning agreement with the company.

In 2018, the company has 212 vessels from various principals with 1,482 crew onboard. It was able to deploy 2337 Filipino crew and gained a total of 273 promoted crew.

As of August 31, 2019, the company has acquired 238 vessels with 1,584 crew onboard.
