About Us

The Falkeid group is a family shipping company started up in 1983 by Ingvar Falkeid. It all started with MS Jenka. The trade area was mainly the Ryfylke basin, but also Hordaland. MS Jenka had its own boom / crane and was a full-fledged self-loader / self-unloader who loaded and unloaded sea sand and asphalt. From 1983 to 1998 we had several self-unloaders who were equipped with booms and who sailed at loose speed along the coast. It was in 1998 that we began a relationship with Norstone AS with MS Polarbulk, which had an excavator installed.

In 2001, Falkeid & Sønner AS was established with the vessel MS Falkvåg. It has since escalated to a shipping company with eight vessels, four of which go for Hagland Bulk Shipping AS, with which we started a collaboration in 2006. Our vessels sail with both Norwegian and foreign flags and the size of the vessels is from 750 – 5000 DWT.
