Foong Sun was founded and established by Mr Johnny Quek S. W. in 1975. The company was incorporated in Singapore on 2nd March 1983 under the name Foong Sun Shipping & Trading Pte Ltd and adopted its present name Foong Sun Shipping Pte Ltd on 18th May 1991 after a re-organization of all shipping-related businesses under the group to give more attention on the growing shipping business. The shipping-related businesses were diversified to the related companies under the group.
It started from a shipping agent to major Indonesia shipping lines and became the choice of many traders, importers and exporters in Singapore and Indonesia who wished to transport their goods by sea between Singapore and Indonesia with our well-managed operation, reputable reliability and established comprehensive network of shipping services throughout the Indonesia Archipelago. The growth in the regional trading business had enabled us to venture into Myanmar, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia with the same standards.
