Green Fleet

About Us

Founded in 2005 by Marnavi SpA of the Ievoli family and by Poliservizi Srlof the Barone family, both 50%, the Green Fleet wins the tender for the integral transport (wheeled and viamare) of the RR.SS.UU. produced in the archipelago of the Aeolian Islands up to the mainland (Milazzo) for subsequent transfer to landfill. First, only the Green Lipari ship is used and then, in the summer period, the Green Salina ship (link to the pages dedicated to them) whose coordination takes place from the operational headquarters in Messina with the fundamental help of the shipping agencies Angelo Natoli Shipping in the port of Lipari and Cavallaro & C. in the port of Milazzo. Since 2012, after the three-year contract has expired, the extension continues to operate only for maritime transport.

At the same time, the Green Lipari ship makes spot trips on behalf of Pumex SpA for the transport of pumice stone by truck from Lipari to Villa S. Giovanni.

In 2012, following the accident that occurred at the M / N Costa Concordia, one of our units, the M / N Green Salina, was requested by Titan-Micoperi to the island of Giglio for the transport of materials and goods from ports of the Tuscan coast.

Meanwhile, the Green Fleet together with other historical realities of specialized maritime works such as the stable consortium Castalia (link to the website) carries out surveys and cores in Montenegro and along the coasts of our peninsula.

From 20 July to the end of September 2014 we carried out a campaign of maritime investigations in the Balearic archipelago in preparation for the passage of a high-voltage electric cable with the Denar 2 ship specifically chartered and equipped with cutting-edge scientific instruments.
