About Us

Royal Niestern Sander is a 100% Dutch shipyard. We are a versatile, strong and modern yard. We also have our own workshop. With over 100 years of knowledge and experience, Royal Niestern Sander can count itself among the best shipyards in the Northern Netherlands. The yard is located in the north of the Netherlands and has a direct connection to the North Sea and has three locations in the Northern of the Netherlands: Farmsum, Delfzijl and Eemshaven.

We build ships for merchant shipping, inland shipping and offshore.

Royal Niestern Sander therefore is a leading shipbuilder in the field of merchant shipping and inland shipping. We design and build a variety of ships. Our list of customers includes new build orders for chemical tankers, research vessels, offshore vessels, tugs, ice breaking support multipurpose vessels and a range of general cargo vessels.

Royal Niestern Sander has a wide, multi-specialized experience in ship repair. The company has specialists in all existing sub-disciplines. This is an appropriate response to the demand for surveys, mobilizations, maintenance and repair orders. Our national and international customer base includes large and small commercial vessels, inland-vessels, tugboats and ferry services, naval vessels, the offshore industry, coastal and marine fisheries and the government.
